- Land Swaps Are Hard
May 25, 2011 – I’ve never seen this map. It’s very helpful.
- So this is what GOP overreach produces
May 25, 2011 – As interesting and accurate as it is to analyze the election result based on backlash over GOP overreach, the point not addressed here is the degree to which every whipsaw election result makes it harder to actually SOLVE PROBLEMS. The Ryan plan isn’t a good one, but the status quo is not sustainable. But who has won an election by arguing for a workable fix? No one. Politicians learn from this that scare tactics and misdirection will get them elected. And nothing gets fixed.

- Picture of the Day: George W. Bush Dodges a Foul Ball
May 24, 2011 – It’s wimpy to avoid getting hit by a flying baseball? That’s ridiculous. I always avoid flying objects. I LIKE my brain. Also, this is a man who has had shoes thrown at him, so, like, he’s ben here before.

- Barnes & Noble successfully markets "simpler" e-reader to women
May 23, 2011 – Interesting that nowhere in either the Salon article, or the NYT article does the subject of price come up. The color Nook is HALF the price of the cheapest iPad. Chicks luv savings, you know. BTW, my brother-in-law just got a Nook, and my sister an iPod Touch. So put that in your conventional wisdom and smoke it!
