January 5, 2011 – have come to believe that American politics is nothing but a giant fish tank in which members of the media swim, and above which officeholders and officeholders dangle delicious bait that is irresistible to the hordes of finned writers. Is Michelle Bachman a shiny, expensive lure or a ball of grub bait? Doesn’t matter as long as the word “president” has been whispered over the hook before it is cast out into the water.

January 4, 2011 – An aircraft carrier has something like 6000 people on board. It’s a small city, or a mid-sized corporation. It might be tasteless, or inappropriate, or lawsuit-worthy if a direct supervisor engages in this sort of conduct, but the CEO of the corporation? That’s a huge management problem on many levels.
