February 9, 2011 – It’s a weird quirk of Texas politics that the House speaker always appoints at least a few committee chairs of the opposite party. I think that’s a good thing for the institution.

February 9, 2011 – Last I checked, you’re not supposed to bring toys to school at all. Or has that changed? This is the genius of the NRA: even common-sense rules about not brining toys/weapons to school all of a sudden becomes an assault on the way you raise your boy children. I get that there is a tongue-in-cheek element here, but c’mon. No one wants to outlaw toy guns.

February 9, 2011 – I don’t love shopping, but I take this article’s point; a meditation on how the Internet has changed a small part the world. Even if you embrace the future, it’s worth taking a few moments to think about how it erases a part of the past.
