Today’s Shared Items – May 4, 2010

Posted in General Store

I do neglect this poor little blog, don’t I? Plenty of topics interest me, and I often ponder the posts I’d like to write. What I’ve discovered over the past few months, though, is that I really enjoy sharing items via Google Reader, and commenting on them. My takes range from sarcasm to joy, to outrage. I’ve installed a plugin tat will post each day’s shared items (and especially my comments) to the blog.

You should know that I read a lot, on topics ranging from tech, to politics, to media, to cute fuzzy kittehs, to cocktails, to Texas news. It’s a grab bag shmorgusboard kind of approach, that I hope you’ll enjoy, at least a little bit.Let me know if you like what I’m doing, and feel free to send along your comments.

  • May 4, 2010 – The linked column is worth reading, not only because Salon is correct, but because it offers a crystallized view of what’s deeply deeply wrong with the opinion-based political class.

  • Glenn Beck Is Against Mother's Day Now?
  • May 4, 2010 – I’ve finally realized the benefit of the current epidemic of CRAZY in our culture. If not for Mr. Beck, Jack Shafer not have taken the time to delve (read Wikipedia?) into the history of Mother’s Day. Thank god he’s writing about Mother’s Day rather than opining on the utterly stupid Star Wars Day thingie that’s all over the Interwebz today. Um, what was I saying?
