Rocky Mountain Campfires
Campfires are often the best part of a folk festival. After a long day of music from the stage, folks bring out their guitars and pull up a rock or towel or chair in front of a campfire. We NanciNet/folk_music folks hosted campfires Friday and Saturday night, attracting several great songwriters who had played during Friday's Troubadour Contest. It was great to hear them in this intimate setting,
Check out some campfire photos.
Here's Annie Wenz playing one of her great songs around the petroleum glow of our campfire (it was a gas lantern).
Chadd Ferron is another really cool songwriter.
Terry Gonda also played at the folk_music campfire. She's great! Bill says he wishes she had a CD available.
